Trenchless Pipe Bursting is a revolutionary new technology to cost-effectively replace old sewer, wastewater and stormwater pipes without the expense or disruption caused by open drain methods. It is also a much more durable and effective alternative to pipe relining.
Pipe bursting works by pulling a bursting head and new pipe through the old lateral, bursting the old pipe as it goes and forcing the fragments into the surrounding soil. The new pipe is strong enough to be used under a road, is extremely durable with a lifespan of up to 100 years, and can even be larger than the old pipe. These are big advantages over pipe relining, which cannot be used in a road, and reduces the size of the drain. Pipe bursting also breaks up or pushes out any tree roots inside the old drain, which otherwise can cause a liner to break if using the relining method.
New PE100 or UPVC pipes can be pulled through the old pipe with digging only required at either end, without any traffic disruption and vastly reducing the landscaping costs. The new pipes can be joined together and PE100 pipe can be welded at 6 meters lengths.
Setup and preparation is quick and efficient, and once the job is done the repair work is much less than trenching the existing drains.
