PE Pipe Welding

A pipeline is only as strong as its weakest connection.
When it comes to joining plumbing pipe, we excel in:

Electro Fusion welding

Butt fusion welding

What is electrofusion welding?

Electrofusion welding is used to join MDPE, HDPE and other plastic pipes together for water, drainage and sewerage or incorporate valves, elbows, and tees.

Electrofusion creates secure, reliable, long-lasting joins with minimum installation time. Prefabricated fittings with an electrical heating coil melt the plastic of both the fitting and the pipe, causing them to fuse together. The resulting joint is as strong as the original pipe and can withstand all the loads applied during routine installation and use.

Electrofusion is particularly suited to installations where access is difficult.

Electrofusion is considered the most cost-effective and safe method for joining polyethylene pipes.

What is butt welding?

Butt fusion welding involves heating two planed surfaces against a heated surface and the two pieces are then pressed together and allowed to cool under pressure, forming the joint.

Butt welding is a welding technique used to connect pipes and fittings in dimensions of 160mm and greater.

PE pipes are the most widely used for water, sewer and stormwater. PE pipes are lightweight, are non-corrosive and have low maintenance and repair costs.

Butt welding is ideal for prefabrication and long pipe runs.

Our plumbing and fusion welding teams provide quality workmanship. The plumbing and drainage on your new house, subdivision or business will be completed to the point where you never have to think about it again.

Out of sight and out of mind, as all good pipe work should be.
