Testimonial for Central Plumbing
We recently moved into a property and soon discovered that the previous owners didn’t do regular maintenance on the storm water drainage. Every time it rained large pools of water would form and make the ground soggy and wet. Anthony inspected on a Saturday morning and scheduled for a more detail survey later the following week (the cost was kindly credited back when we proceeded with the new drainage work). The old drains couldn’t be saved and Anthony was from the outset open and honest about the likely costs. In the end it turned out not an easy job as the new drainage had to cross the council road reserve land, but Anthony completed the work on budget and to a high standard. He used only the best quality materials and I feel confident that the new drainage will last a long time. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Anthony for similar work.

Kitchen sink drains clog when cooking grease, fat and oil stick onto drain pipe walls.
Add soap scum and undissolved food particles such as rice, which expands in water, and you’ve got a stubborn, gunky clog. The kitchen sink does seem to beckon fat. Tipping liquid fat away seems like an easy solution on one will ever know about. Do it and when you expect it the least, a blocked drain. When the fat, oil or grease cools (even if you blast it with hot water on its way down), it hardens and sticks to the pipe walls. The simple fix is to dispose of your fats, oils and greases properly (and let this be a reminder as to why doctors are trying to get us to cut greasy foods from our diets). Pour cooled fat, grease or oil in a sealed package and throw it out in the rubbish. An easy and reasonably environmentally OK way to do this is with used tinfoil. (You could also throw the fats into used zip lock plastic bags that have come to the end of their useful lives.) Line a bowl with the tinfoil, pour the grease into it and throw it in the freezer. Just before rubbish day, take out the frozen grease package and chuck it in the rubbish. Central Plumbing has a reputation for professionalism, skill, knowledge, workmanship and reliability.
